Indigo Sashiko Noragi Jacket
From the northern Kanto area of Japan, this beautifully designed late Meiji noragi is constructed from multiple patches of different shades of indigo died fabric. The incredibly even sashiko stitching on each patch used for reinforcement shows an unusually high level of skill and overall design execution. The inside cloth of this two-layer garment reveals equally impressive intense sashiko stitching. Very rare. (112 cm long)
