FAQs
Shipping
All garments will be shipped via Japan Post EMS service with tracking and insurance. Shipping and insurance charges will be born by the client.
Returns
Given that these garments are original works of art, returns are not accepted.
Authentication
While no official authentication can be provided, we have unofficial authentication in the form of an email from Kiyoshi Tatsumi, director of the Amuse BORO Museum in Tokyo: “Thank you for sending us these wonderful photos. And you have a very good collection. I believe that the area where these labor clothes were used is the Northern Kanto and Tohoku regions based on the type of cloth and thread used in the garments. However there is a possibility that the 7700 was used in Kansai….As far as I can see, there are no forgeries in your collection.”
Acquisition of these textiles
These textiles were acquired at flea markets around Japan, primarily Tokyo, in the late 1970s to early 1980s by icon editor, Kim Schuefftan.
